057. | theBalm Time Balm Face Primer

My love of face primers and theBalm Cosmetics has been well documented on Champagne Daydream. I was shocked when I was browsing through my makeup collection and discovered that I didn't own Time Balm Primer, theBalm's vitamin-infused face primer. Luckily, this discovery was made around the time theBalm was featured in HauteLook, and I was able to get a killer discount. Keep reading for details of my new favorite primer!

The Time Balm Face Primer is infused with Vitamins A, C, and E, and is designed to even out skin tone and minimize the appearance of fine lines and pores. It is a silicone-based primer, but is not as slick and heavy as other silicone primers. The vitamins and oils make the product light and easy to blend. It has a sweet, floral scent that is spa-like and luxurious.

Many people do not like silicone-based face primers because they feel uncomfortable on the skin and, in some cases, can cause breakouts. I love this primer because it has all of the qualities of a silicone face primer (prolongs the wear of face makeup, blurs imperfections, minimizes pores), but does not have the thickness that make many wary of silicone-based products.

The Time Balm Face Primer is a clear product that would suit any skin tone. Because this is a lighter primer, it can work on both oily and dry skin types. Beware that this is slightly mattifying and will not let any natural dewiness peek through. To use, I apply a thin layer all over my face with my fingertips. Then, I wait about two minutes before applying foundation. It is important to let the product sink into the skin for the product to have its full effect.

I highly, highly recommend the Time Balm Face Product for anyone looking to prolong the wear of makeup and make skin look smooth and poreless. One tube contains 1 fluid ounce of product and retails for $30. Click here to purchase.
