This week, I'll be trying a different style on a couple of my posts. In addition to reviewing a beauty product, I'll add a few lifestyle bits. So, today, I'm reviewing MAC Midimauve Lipstick, as well as sharing photos and details from my weekend brunch plans. Spoiler alert: Midimauve is one of my new top lipsticks, and brunch was delicious. Keep reading for more!
MAC Midimauve is a dusty rose lipstick with slight brown undertones. It is a Lustre finish, meaning that it has a glossy, iridescent finish. Lustres are my favorite MAC Lipstick formula for day to day wear, because they look the most natural. Midimauve is semi-sheer (like most Lustres), but can be built up to appear nearly opaque. It wears for about three hours before needing to be touched up, and does not bleed or feather outside of the lip line.
Midimauve is my perfect everyday color. The color is natural, but the iridescent finish makes it a little more glamorous than a matte or satin lipstick. I anticipate getting a lot of wear out of this lipstick, It is appropriate for all seasons and occasions. I can't believe it has taken me this long to notice this color. The first time I wore Midimauve was during my weekly Sunday brunch. Sunday brunch is one of my favorite weekend activities, because I get to see my friends, wear a pretty outfit, and drink champagne in broad daylight. This week, my friends and I went to a local BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) brunch spot. I brought a bottle of Prosecco, an Italian sparkling white wine (similar to champagne), and we mixed mimosas. For my meal, I got the Heuvos Rancheros. It was my first time trying that dish anywhere, and I LOVED it. I'm already counting down the hours until I get to do boozy brunch again.
Did you do anything fun this weekend?
