Good morning, readers! After taking a brief hiatus from blogging to move out of my apartment, I'm so excited to be back and sharing product recommendations and beauty tips. I'm happily riding out the last of the lazy days of summer and anxiously awaiting the arrival of colder weather. Autumn is my favorite season in general, but it's also my favorite season for makeup. I have a lot of fun posts planned and I'm finally getting on a set blogging schedule - new posts coming at you every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday morning, starting now!
But enough about me, and on to the star of today's beauty show. Today, I'm sharing one of my favorite gentle skincare products, the Lush Love Lettuce Face Mask. This product is perfect for sensitive skin, and for anyone who loves a gentle but deep cleanse. Keep reading for details!
After using up an entire pot of Love Lettuce, I can safely say that I am a big fan. I like to think of this mask as a preventative product or as skincare upkeep. It's something I use when my skin is looking clear and smooth, in order to keep it looking that way. Lush Lettuce is effective enough to cleanse and exfoliate the skin, but it's not at all heavy duty. It isn't a product I reach for when I'm having major breakouts or when my skin is looking terrible. If I need a deep, thorough cleanse, I reach for Lush's Cupcake Fresh Face Mask. [Link to review]
To use, apply a thin layer of Love Lettuce to clean, slightly damp skin. The product goes on as a pastel green color and turns a deeper green when it's time to remove. Wait about ten to fifteen minutes for the product to harden and dry before rinsing off with warm water. When rinsing, make sure to take about thirty seconds to massage the product into the skin to activate the exfoliating grains. After getting the product completely off and drying the face, I like to follow with a serum and a moisturizer. Because Love Lettuce is so gentle, it can be used any time of day or night.
Love Lettuce comes in a small black pot containing 2.1 oz. of product. It must be kept in the refrigerator at all times because it is made with fresh, perishable ingredients (like all of the Lush Fresh Face Masks). It will last about two weeks before the product goes bad and starts to grow bacteria. The Fresh Face Masks can only be purchased in store, so I recommend heading to your local Lush and testing out Love Lettuce. For more information and a full list of ingredients, click here.
This sounds lovely! I really want to try one of their mud masks!
