033. | Simple Micellar Cleansing Water

Cleansing waters broke into the mainstream American beauty scene about two years ago, and there has been much hype surrounding them ever since. Popular in European markets for decades, cleansing waters promise to gently remove makeup and cleanse the face in one simple step. I had always wanted to try a cleansing water, but not badly enough where I was willing to pay premium shipping rates to import the much-talked-about Bioderma from France. Finally, US based beauty brands started adding cleansing waters to their lines and I picked up the Simple Micellar Cleansing Water as soon as it hit the shelves. Keep reading to see if it lived up to the hype!

The Simple Micellar Cleansing Water is formulated with Vitamins B3 and C, and Hexylene Glycol. Combined together, these ingredients remove makeup, hydrate the skin, and add softness back into the face. The product is extremely gentle and works well for those with sensitive skin. Simple claims that applying the Micellar Cleansing Water to the face with a cotton round is a one-step solution for clean, moisturized skin - no rinsing or washing required!

I do not use the Micellar Cleansing Water this way. Call me old fashioned, but I do not trust a product consisting mainly of water to completely cleanse my skin. I wear a full face of makeup most days. Plus, I live in a city and am exposed to dirt and pollution on the daily. Instead, I use the Micellar Cleansing Water in place of a toner, and I absolutely LOVE it. After washing my face with a traditional cleanser, I take the Micellar Cleansing Water on a cotton round to remove any excess dirt and/or makeup from my face. I recommend taking the product on an exfoliating round for maximum results.

I have used the Micellar Cleansing Water for about a month and have noticed a change in my complexion. My skin is clearer and smoother than before. For me, taking the extra step to ensure that my face is completely free of makeup and dirt makes a dramatic difference in the quality of my skin.

Regardless of how you choose to use the Micellar Cleansing Water, I highly recommend giving it a try. Click here to purchase.
