Summer is my favorite season for nail polish colors. I love wearing bright pinks, peaches, and corals on my fingers and toes. I don't purchase too much nail polish because it's nearly impossible for me to finish an entire bottle. Plus, I always gravitate towards the same types of colors, so I try not to have too much overlap in my nail polish collection. However, I broke my rule after spotting two shades in the Essie Summer Collection that were so bright and fun that I couldn't not bring them home with me. Keep reading for swatches!
The Essie Summer Collection has six shades in total. I picked up the two peachy-coral shades in the collection, Peach Side Babe and Sunset Sneaks. The remaining four colors were shades of green and blue. While they were very pretty, I'm not crazy about wearing those colors on my nails.
Peach Side Babe and Sunset Sneaks have the best formulation of any Essie polish I've tried thus far. Each polish was opaque, creamy, and easy to apply. Plus, both colors lasted on my nails for a full week, with only minimal (and unnoticeable) chipping at the tips. Peach Side Babe is a light peach that applies as a soft neon orange. I especially like wearing this color on my toenails. Sunset Sneaks is darker coral with red undertones.
