054. | theBalm Time Balm Concealer

If you've read any of my other posts, it's probably pretty obvious that I'm a big fan of theBalm Cosmetics. I have a ton of their products and I am continually buying more. Recently, I ran out of the concealer I had been using for the past few months (Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in Brightener) and I wanted to try something new. Luckily, this happened at the exact time theBalm was featured on HauteLook, so I was able to get the Time Balm Concealer at a great price. Keep reading for details!

The Time Balm Concealer is a full coverage, anti-creasing product. It contains Vitamins A, C, and E, as well as other skin-friendly natural ingredients. This is one of the few concealers that I believe can be worn both under the eyes to cover dark circles and on the face to cover blemishes. It is medium to thick in texture and is easy to smooth on to the skin. It is best to use your fingers to apply this. The product is too thick and concentrated to use with a brush.

The Time Balm Concealer comes in nine shades, ranging from "Lighter than Light" to "After Dark." While nine might not sound like a very large range, I think that almost everyone would be able to find a shade match. Remember that concealer does not have to match to your skin as perfectly as foundation does. I have the very lightest shade and I use it as an under-eye brightener, and sometimes even as an eyeshadow primer. It is very opaque and completely covers my dark circles.

The packaging is not very impressive. It is a simple clear plastic pot with a screw-off lid. It does not compare to the adorable, vintage-style packaging theBalm normally produces. On the plus side, it's compact and very lightweight. This would be easy to throw in your purse and take on the go.

The Time Balm Concealer contains 0.26 oz. of product and retails for $18. Because the product is so opaque and concentrated, a little bit goes a very long way. I predict my pot lasting for at least four or five months. Overall, I highly recommend this concealer. [Click here to purchase.] What is your favorite concealer?

  3. I haven't tried anything from the Balm so far. Shocking, I know. At the moment I use a corrector on my under-eyes and Maybelline Fit Me concealer on any redness.

  8. They say that unexpected things come in unexpected packages. I suppose this also goes along the lines of "Don't just a book by it's cover" :) Great read!
