052. | L'Oreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminious Makeup

I recently ran out of my beloved Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and I didn't have time to run to my Sephora and pick up a new one. Plus, I think my skin is slightly changing composition and it's not as oily as it used to be. I found the Double Wear to be overly drying on my skin and that it was emphasizing imperfections. So, I wanted a lighter, more dewy foundation, and I needed to find it at the drugstore. I ended up settling on the L'Oreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup. L'Oreal is one of my favorite drugstore brands and I've loved almost all of their products I've tried. And this specific foundation seemed to have everything that I needed. Keep reading to see how it performed!

The True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup is a hydrating foundation that is made up of 40% water. It claims to contain Vitamins C and E for improved clarity and skin tone, as well as "Liquid Light Technology" for a luminous glow. The line contains 33 shades in warm, cool, and neutral tones, so there is something for everyone.

This is a medium coverage, dewy foundation. I have a bit of redness in my face, and an occasional blemish, and the True Match Lumi covers it, but does not make my complexion look airbrushed or flawless. I like this because I don't want my skin to look too perfect. If you have major skin problems that you like concealed, this is not the foundation for you.

The texture of this product is on thicker side, and has a fluffy, whipped consistency. The foundation spreads over the face easily and blends beautifully. You will need to use about two or three pumps of foundation to build up to a medium coverage.

When worn with a primer, this stays on well for at least 8 hours and my skin does not produce much oil. Without a primer, the foundation doesn't move around, but I will get fairly oily in my T-Zone and will need to powder throughout the day. I expected that this would happen with my skin type, so this isn't a major negative for me.

Overall, I think the L'Oreal True Match Lumi is a great product if you're looking for a medium coverage, glowing foundation. I really like the large shade range available, and that the makeup has SPF 20 in it. This is probably the best drugstore foundation I've ever used. I'm excited that I've finally found an affordable foundation and I love using. The L'Oreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup retails for $12.99 and contains 1.0 fl. oz. of product. Click here to purchase.

  5. Lovely post doll! You look beautiful with and without make up :) I have actually never tried a L'oreal foundation in my life. Drugstore foundations usually don't do it for me, but the word 'thick' has convinced me, as I prefer a thicker consistency!xx

  8. Unfortunately I didn't have as good of an experience; this foundation was too greasy for my sensitive skin, and my skin brokeout quite badly ;(
