066. | Current Beauty Obsessions, Vol. 5

Over the past two months, I unfortunately haven't had the best luck discovering new products. I've been generally under excited about the newer releases. The one bright side to not experimenting with new products is that I've rediscovered some old favorites. Keep reading to see what beauty products I've been obsessing over recently!

  • Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Honey Bear: Honey Bear is a shimmering rose brown lipstick. For my complexion, it's the perfect dark neutral lipstick for fall. The formula is creamy and comfortable on the lips. [Link to purchase]
  • MAC Modesty: Modesty is my go-to "my lips but better" lipstick. It's a neutral mauve with brown undertones that is appropriate for any occasion. I always wear Modesty when I'm going to things like job interviews, where I want to look natural and professional, yet still polished and put-together. [Link to purchase]
  • Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick in Melted Berry: I received this deluxe sample as a gift with purchase and I fell in love with it instantly. Melted Berry is a deep red with berry undertones. The finish is demi-matte. This sample has lasted me quite a while, so I can only imagine how much product comes in a full-sized tube. [Link to purchase]

  • Benefit Rockateur: Rockateur is a shimmering rose gold blush. It is complementary of many different skin tones, and pairs well with almost all makeup looks. If you haven't seen Rockateur in person, run - don't walk - to your nearest Sephora and admire the beauty. [Link to purchase]
  • Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop: At first, I bought this for the name. (Can you tell I'm a fan of champagne?) But it quickly became my go-to summer highlighter. I'm retiring this for the winter because it just doesn't work on me when I don't have a tan, so I needed to give it one final shoutout. See you in warmer weather, Champagne Pop. • Benefit Dallas: Dallas may not look like much in the pan, but once applied to the cheeks, it is a gorgeous satin soft plum brown blush. I love wearing Dallas in the fall because it pairs perfectly with my mauve, berry, and nude-brown lipsticks. [Link to purchase]
  • Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo: Since the summer heat has finally broken, I've been able to skip washing my hair some days and I've gotten really into dry shampoo. The Not Your Mother's version is my favorite because it is a thick product that thoroughly absorbs all oils. This is best for blondes, because it does leave a bit of light residue behind. [Link to purchase]
  • Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara: I reviewed the Eyes to Kill Mascara recently and I was extremely impressed with the product's performance, but a bit off-set by the high price tag. I'm still loving this mascara and I'm appreciating every last bit of product I have. [Link to reviewLink to purchase]
  • Milani Gel Powder Eyeshadow in Bella Sand: The Milani eyeshadow is my favorite eyeshadow formulation at the drugstore and it's one of the most inexpensive. Bella Sand is a satin champagne color that looks beautiful blended all over the lid. I'm dying to purchase more shades from this range. [Link to purchase]
  • Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black Rollerball: I chose this deluxe rollerball as a Sephora point perk because I have been hearing wonderful reviews of the Elizabeth and James perfumes. Nirvana black is a sultry deep, musky scent. It's very sexy and sophisticated. I will definitely be picking up the full size. [Link to purchase]

  7. Now that you mention it, the last few new products I purchased I haven't had much luck with either. Must be something in the water.
