064. | Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara

I picked up the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara months ago during the Nordstrom Mascara Sale (buy two, get one free). This is the first product I've owned from Armani, and although I was turned off by the high price tag, I figured the sale justified my purchase. I was half-hoping that I didn't like the Eyes to Kill Mascara, only because I cringe at the thought of repurchasing a mascara this expensive. But both fortunately and unfortunately, I absolutely love this product and it is by far the best mascara I've ever used. Keep reading for photos and details!

The Eyes to Kill Mascara is formulated with both hard and soft waxes to create length, volume, and definition. Armani says this blend of waxes keeps the lashes soft. I was skeptical on this claim, but the proof is in the product. I can apply as many coats to my lashes as I want, and my lashes never get crunchy or clumpy. Yet, they still look thick and long. The wand is thick and over-sized with natural brush hairs. I prefer natural mascara brushes because they give a softer effect.

As I've already said, I absolutely love this mascara. It is the only mascara that I can wear for a fluttery, natural look during the day, and for a vampy, full lash effect for nighttime. It wears all day without clumping or smudging. And when it's time to take it off, it comes off very easily. Most of it comes off with only water. (So this isn't the best mascara to wear if you plan on crying.)

Overall, I highly, highly recommend the Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara and I will (begrudgingly) be repurchasing this when I run out. There are definitely excellent mascaras on the market that are more reasonably priced, like the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and the L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara. But if you're shopping for luxury, this is definitely your best bet.

  3. I love mascaras, but honestly I don't have a particular brand I use. I'm not too bothered when it comes to that. Just me, Ha!! :) Great product!

  5. That wand looks fab. I can't justify spending loads on mascaras, knowing that L'Oreal does the job for under £15 xx

  6. I loveee the packaging but same here, I can't justify the price with what I use now. I'm a tried and true L'Oreal fan. Their Telescopic mascara has been a favorite for over 5 years. It does wonders for my lashes!

  7. I seriously want to try this!! Like you, I kind of freak when I see how high the items are priced, but I LOVE trying the designer makeup products just so I can see if they really are that much better. (If I don't like it after the first try, Sephora is always great about returns on makeup!) Surprisingly, I have found that I don't like YSL beauty products at al! But I wish I did, because I love the gold packaging haha. I've always been an Armani fan, and LOVE a sleek black packaged look, so I am totally going to try this one out! Glad to hear you like it!! :)

  9. I'm not familiar with Armani cosmetics and have to say this is the first review I've come across it. I've been meaning to try Dior show mascara but now am also thinking I need to give this a shot too.

  11. Oh, the pain when you purchase something expensive and end up liking it; it's sort of paradoxical, innit? The mascara sounds amazing, and ahh, would've loved to see it on you, Kate!

  17. The sounds great and it looks blacker than black which is always what I want in a mascara apart from the usual length, curl and volume xx
